In order to gain the skills required to successfully obtain a vocation that utilizes a computer with adaptive software, TEAM EEI. (EEI) has developed a CREW Training Program. This program will fundamentally and practically train all students with basic work abilities and competitive skills. If it is an entry-level customer service type of a position to a more advanced level in this industry, a receptionist position, an administrative assistant or any career where organizational, skills and competent computer skills are needed, then this is the training program for you.
Good computer skills, basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database fundamentals and e-mail essentials are what employers are looking for in future employee candidates. The CREW training will highlight all of these areas in addition to resume building, interviewing and other work related scenarios. Our network will allow us to introduce the CREW trainees into a network type of atmosphere and how to log on/off procedures are handled and accessing a network for retrieving and saving files can be simply utilized.
Your CREW training will also include two computer related skills assessments. The first assessment will be given before their training and the second one after the training has been completed. This will allow the Counselor, to see the improvement and complete list of the student's skill level in the various areas that have been completed.
The three days per week or an estimated sixteen to twenty hours per week will have our students working on computers where they will access many work related situations and topics. The CREW trainees will be utilizing the Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system, Microsoft Office Suite, Jaws for Windows as a screen reading program, the Zoom Text level II or the Magic screen enlargement programs if necessary and many other programs that could possibly be used at an employer's location.
Multi tasking, recording data properly and overall a sense of self-confidence will be areas that the CREW trainees will be working towards. If the trainees have the confidence in themselves in what they are doing, they will be more eager to approach new settings and situations that the working environment may offer to them.
Our current ability to facilitate six students in our downtown Denver Colorado office for each class will allow us to work with small groups of individuals and focus on each trainee's areas of need. We have recently acquired two new offices at this location and we have made a computer classroom out of one room and our other room is now a classroom for different types of trainings and meetings.
